Miami Man Arrested For DUI Manslaughter
A Miami man was recently arrested for causing the deadly accident that took the lives of two teenage girls and a man with three children. April 13 was the day that such a tragedy occurred. The initial accident involved a 68-year-old SUV driver and two teenagers who were driving in another vehicle. The two teenage girls got out of their car to assess the damages. A Good Samaritan, Eduardo Hernandez, saw that the girls were distressed and got out of his car to assist them. Shortly after Hernandez joined the two girls, a third vehicle struck all three of them.
All three victims were killed in the accident. When the accident first occurred, the investigators suspected that alcohol and speed had something to do with the crash. They conducted a toxicology investigation, but they were waiting for the report to come in. Christopher Masferrer was taken into custody and charged for several crimes revolving around the incidents. The report showed that he did indeed have alcohol and perhaps some other substances in his system. Masferrer was charged with one count of driving under the influence and three charges of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide.
