According to authorities, Laura Lynn Ross had placed 64 items from Walmart in her cart before checking out in the self checkout line; however, she only scanned 17 of those items and paid $40.76. Ms. Ross, 44, allegedly neglected to scan the other 47 items that cost $354.05.
When Ross was stopped prior to exiting the store, she told authorities that she had thought she paid for everything and didn’t realize she was leaving the store with an extra $354.05 in freebies.
Laura Lynn Ross is charged with Grand Theft and was recently checked into jail.
