Fisher island’s elite residents no longer have a common bond with other access-restricted communities in Florida. It is now one of the last places in the state that can bar process servers from trying to deliver a court summons or subpoena. Effective July 1, the new law sponsored by State Rep. John Patrick Julien gave process servers the right to enter a guarded building or gated community unannounced. California, Georgia and now Florida are the only states to pass such a law. Article from the Daily Business Review. www.law.com
