Fort Lauderdale Woman Jailed After Attacking Motorist With Baseball Bat

Fort Lauderdale aggravated battery defense lawyerA woman in Fort Lauderdale, Florida was arrested after policeman say she used a baseball bat to assault a female victim. The 21-year-old suspect is now facing charges of criminal mischief, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery.

The victim told police that she was driving a car that belonged to her boyfriend when another motorist began flashing their car’s high beams at her. The victim says she pulled into the parking lot of a convenience store and the other woman followed. According to the victim, a woman exited the other vehicle armed with a baseball bat that she used to attack the car the victim was driving.

The victim says she exited the car to take a photo of the other car’s license plate and the suspect then turned the bat on her. The victim says that she was terrified by the incident and did not know at the time if she would live through the ordeal. She explains that she fell to the ground after being hit with the baseball bat and did not know if the woman would continue to strike her with the bat or even run over her with the car.

The suspect in the case is presently being held in Fort Lauderdale’s Broward County Jail on a bail of $6,000.
