According to recent reports, George Zimmerman had two chances to diffuse the situation between him and Trayvon. When the young man walked past his pick up truck in the rain and he closed the window because he was afraid; that was missed opportunity number one. The second missed opportunity was when the two found themselves face to face on the sidewalk and the young man asked if George had a problem. Had he explained either time to Trayvon that he was the neighborhood watch volunteer, he might have diffused the fight that later would occur between him and Trayvon. Unfortunately, the unarmed 17 year-old boy died. The more information the police gather the more they realize how much Trayvon’s death was preventable. Zimmereman is charged with second-degree murder and is currently in the Seminole County Jail, awaiting trial in the February 26th shooting. He is expected to appear in court Friday for a bond hearing. For more information go to http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/nationworld/os-george-zimmerman-latest-evidence-20120626,0,3842475.story.
